He will be remembered fondly by friends and family for his quick wit, engaging manner, and stellar character. He began his life-long career as a radio and TV advertising executive in 1973 including jobs at KFML and KIMN radio, KWGN-TV Channel 2, and later as Sales Manager for Univision TV. His valor in battle earned him a number of war medals including a Bronze Star for exceptional bravery in battle.Īfter returning from Viet Nam, Sam attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for several years. Sam served three years of active duty in the U.S.Army from 1967 to 1970, including a year-long stint in South Viet Nam where he fought in combat with U.S. They recorded their first album on the Uni lable, “Acapulco Gold”, which was produced in Los Angeles by veteran rock producer Phil Spectre. He is survived by his wife, Loren, brother Jonathan Fuller, sister-in-law Katherine Fuller, and nieces Heather and Laurel Fuller.Ī graduate of Denver’s South High School class of 1964, Sam was a bass player in a number of local bands including The Rainy Daze. Sam passed away Wednesday, October 29, at Rose Hospital after a prolonged two-year battle with cancer. His uncle, Burnham Hoyt was an architect whose historic design work included Red Rocks amphitheatre, the original Denver Public Library, and numerous elegant Denver mansions. Rudolf Arndt was a respected surgeon, well known in early Denver medical circles. Sam’s father was owner and operator of a prominent Denver enterprise, Thornton Fuller Interior Design. Sam Fuller was born in Denver, Colorado the son of Thornton and Gretel Fuller.
